For Scale-Ups.

Strategic communications for founders who need their work to land — with investors, with hires, with the public.

№ I — My Approach

The language that got you funded is holding you back.

You’re an early-stage tech startup that worked hard on your pre-seed funding pitch. Success! You made it. But when it's time to talk about your product on your website, with future hires, at networking events, and over dinner, you’re greeted with polite nods, blank stares, and very few conversions.

The problem is startups form their product language in specific, high-stakes contexts: VC pitches, co-founder recruiting, early developer hires. These contexts reward a specific kind of language: technical, precise and appealing to the broadest possible market. Yet the same language that got you through the next stage of funding actually fails to scale, impeding both internal and external growth. It doesn’t speak to your actual customer, attract future hires, or form a durable brand or public identity.

If you’re a startup with a complex product — an AI data-scraping API, a vector database — the problem is amplified. Technically impressive and widely applicable, you risk speaking to no one other than angel investors and software engineers. And this problem doesn’t go away at scale. Growth-stage companies navigating a strategic pivot face the same deficit at higher stakes: new audiences to reach, new discovery surfaces, and a core message that hasn’t kept pace with the product.

The solution isn’t simply language that speaks to your audience, which got you into the problem in the first place. Rather, at an early stage or in transition, startups need to get clear in non-technical terms about what they’re really offering and for whom. This clarity is the key to downstream growth, not only externally — in terms of marketing, communications, and positioning across search, LLM responses, and integration ecosystems (SEO, AEO, GEO) — but internally as well: product, hiring, and organisational cohesion.

Whether for an investor pitch, web copy, or in longer-term engagement, I work with you to first establish this clarity before shaping your messaging for the room. Because good messaging is only a step forward. Clarity unlocks growth.

№ II — The Clarity Sessions

Excavating your core narrative.

A short, intensive engagement to do exactly what the approach above describes: getting clear, in non-technical terms, about what you’re really building and for whom. You leave with the language for a public identity and a sharper understanding of your product itself.

Standalone, or as the foundation for further work. Whether in early stage or transition, before a pitch, website launch or as the start of a longer engagement, these sessions give downstream work something solid to stand on.
